  1. I had one when I was 14,but that was 40 years ago. I'm sure your parents would have to open a co-account now days. Some credit cards have prepaid cards that work the same as a credit card only you fund the account before you spend/use the card. Something to look into. Watch out for fees.

  2. I AM 13. I HAVE A DEBIT CARD WITH THE CHASE HIGH SCHOOL CHECKING ACCOUNT.IT'S LINKED WITH A PARENTS ACCOUNT. ALL THE FEES APPLY ACCEPT THERE IS NO SERVICE FEE, BUT BE CAREFUL IF YOU OVERDRAFT THEY CHARGE YOUR PARENTS ACCOUNT. IT'S FOR AGES 13-17 BUT CONVERTS TO A FREE CHECKING ACCOUNT WHEN YOU TURN 19.

  3. 18.

If you are under the age of 18, you can still get a checking account, but it will be under your name and your parent's name. This is called co-signing. When you turn 18, the account will be under your name. And you will call the shots.

    *Edit*

Don't try to rip off the bank, it will not work. If you are co-signing an account, then if you owe the bank money, the bank will get the money. Even if they have to sell everything you owe.

  4. 18 or over if u need it for money transactions

  5. 18 but you made a statement that bothers me and i quote "so you dont have to worry about paying the back back"  look if you open an account and get money from the bank you by law have to pay the money back!!!
