  1. I think 16 is good for like, double-dating... but if they want a boyfriend? Like 18? 20? Ha ha how about 40??? I'm still pregnant with my girl and I can't think about setting lines right now... but that's what my parents did for me - 16.

What they told me? You're dating to find a mate, like, a life long commitment. If you're just having fun and putzing around, that's what 'hanging out' is for - group dates are 'hanging out' in a smaller environment.

  2. 16 is a reasonable age to start dating.  If she has a steady boyfriend at 15 and is a mature girl that's okay too.  12 is way too young.  The girls I went to school with that started dating at 12 & 13 were total s***s by jr & sr year.  I was a few months shy of 16 & had a boyfriend.

  3. well between 12- 14 its just kinda a game.  u should just let them play

  4. My children, boys and girls, will not go on a one-on-one date until age 16 for sure. Maybe at the beginning of grade 10 if they are asked to homecoming but even then I would strongly prefer and be much more likely to give permission if it was a double date or group date.

Starting in grade 7 if a person of interest is along on a group outing to a movie or school activity, that might be all right if a parent drops off and picks up. If I suspect my children are meeting such a person at the mall under the guise of saying, "I'm going to the mall with Becky," I will be showing up at the mall to make sure they are with Becky and other girls, not talking to any boys (in the case of my daughter) and my kids know that.

So...that's our rule at our house.

  5. 16

  6. For both of my children it will be sixteen. So that they can drive their selves. I also will have approve the date and they will have a ten o'clock curfew. Also with out their knowings a tracker will be placed inside the car-for emergency uses only though.

  7. 16 minimum for one on one dates, maybe 12 to 14 to go out in groups

  8. At 13 i see no problem with group dates, and at 15 alone dates.

  9. I think it really depends on the maturity of your daughter and the person she would be going out with.

I think it also depends on how much older the person she would be going out with is.

My daughter is 13 and she is dating but the boys she goes out with are around her age.

Can you trust your daughter? If you can, then I think she would be old enough.

    GOOD LUCK

  10. i'm 12 and i'm already dating...
