How old does a baby have to be before you can take him or her to the beach?

yes use lots of strong sunscreen. make sure baby is dressed appropriatly to not be to hot or cold.

You can, although he's quite young, make sure he stays in the shade and not in the sand. It's not really good for their skin. Make sure he has sunscreen. just in case, and since he's so young try a hypoallergenic brand, not just any kind. The least you wanna do is cause him a sking irritation.

That shouldn't be a problem just make sure you use baby sunscreen and keep them in the shade when not in the water. Give the baby a bath once you get home.

maybe at least 4-5 months old and make sure they have on a hat and suncreen. keep them in the shade for the young babies

any age is fine.  

word of advice ( i live on the beach)

take baby powder in your bag, a must have.   Baby powder  put on skin with sand on it is like a miracle.  It works on wet skin or dry with sand on it, pour some powder on the skin and wipe away the sand like magic.  Works on baby butts, hands , everywhere, adults feet also !!  

also dont forget the sunscreen and umbrella and hat.

Absolutely - just make sure that they have sun screen on them & a hat for their little head. If it's very windy try to keep them a little protected. And don't forget to put their tooties in the water!

There is no set age limit a child has to be to go to the beach..you can take it at 2 days old if thats what you choose to do..My daughter was dipped in the ocean at 9 weeks and loved it..and at 7 months I say we are going to the beach and she lights up and gets excited..

There is no right or wrong age.  It's up to you as the parent to decide.  However make sure that your baby is covered with sun screen at all times.  Make sure he or she has lots of liquids, and doesn't get over heated.  Heat stroke can be fatal.  But I personally think that it's fine to take your baby to the beach at this age only if you are aware of your baby's wants and needs, and condition at all times....

I was recently in Jersey and took my 3 month old to Pt Pleasant. Just make sure you have plenty of high spf sunscreen and a little hat to protect is little head!!! =P
