  1. in the UK, i think its 16

  2. 2

  3. Well, in the UK you can be married at 16 so to suggest that you can't be left until you're 18 seems a little...odd.

It depends where you live. And there may well not be an absolute law (for instance, leaving a 15 year old if your next door neighbour is your mum and the kid can go round any time is very different to leaving a 15 year old in a house you've only just moved to where she knows nobody).

  4. 16 legally, but if he isnt reliable or sensible id leave him with a relative.

  5. 18 and 18 only! I wouldn't leave my child unattended for a day! Unless of course they have a babysitter. I would feel safe and I'm sure my kids wouldn't either.

  6. its 14 but its up to u if you think he is responsable enough thats up to u

  7. Actually, there is no 'set' age for leaving children at home.  They can babysit for others at 14 and are legally responsible at 16.  BUT- you are responsible to ensure that your child does not suffer from emotional, physical or sexual abuse...and neglect.  Neglect can come in different forms, as can emotional abuse...You could write a whole web site on it ( I think NSPCC have!!).

If you are thinking about leaving your baby or child, as long as they are left with suitable people..nannies, registered child carers, grandparent...you can go at any time.  The question is, would you really want to leave them?  What would be the long term affect on your relationship?  YOu only have to look at the weirdy upper classes to answer that one!

  8. 16

  9. its 16

  10. For two weeks????  Are you kidding?  I wouldn't leave any kid alone for two weeks until they were 18.  Even then I wouldn't. Who knows what would go on while I was gone.  You are asking for trouble....big trouble......Have your kid stay with a friend.

  11. 18 is best but i believe the rule is 16 and 3 months or something like that...2 weeks is a long time!!!

  12. 16 or 18 legally depending on your state.  However, at that age I would seriously be worried about parties, and other things.  I still would have my 16 or 17 year old stay with relatives, 2 weeks is waay too long.

  13. i'd probably say 18.

  14. 16

    regards x kitti x

  15. in my state to even stay home alone for a day is the age of 14(many dont know that though) , I would say never because teens always have that potential to do everything you dont want them to when they are unsupervised. I dont know what to say but maybe you could if he were 16 or older and a neighbor(that you know well) could check on him at least 1 time in the evening. If they had to be alone for you to go for job reasons a funeral etc. maybe he could stay at a good friends house , after you discuss it personally with the friends parents and offer to reimburse all expenses for food. I personally think its a very bad idea responsible child or notto leave him alone in an unsupervised house for that long.

  16. I know there are laws that clarify how old your kid has to be before they can stay home alone for a couple of hours by themselves (for example, in CA, I believe the law says 12).

HOWEVER...I believe that leaving any minor alone for more than a day would fall into the "parental abandonment" category.  Two weeks is a jail sentence for you, and we won't even go into the things that could go wrong for the kid while you're gone.

If you really need to leave for two weeks, find a safe place for him to go in the meantime.  With a friend's family, the home of your pastor, your parents, an uncle...just about anything but alone.

  17. In N.C your child must be 12 years old and you can only leave them for 2 hours. Are you a crazy person? No one wants to leave there child alone for 2 weeks. Why did you not give child's current age??????????

  18. 18 adult age or you could be arrested for neglect or abandonment.

  19. I left mine for ten days when he was 16 BUT.......he stayed with a friend who was 22 at the time.

I wouldn't go away for two weeks and leave him home alone.

  20. 15 to 16

  21. 18 and why would you want to.  Do you know how much trouble they can get themselves into.

  22. 35.

seriously, never leave a child or teenager alone for two weeks! have him stay with relatives or friends you can trust, take him with you.

i hope this is a hypothetical question. with all your past questions in regard to panda welfare, id hope you were interested enough in your child's welfare that you wouldnt leave him alone for two weeks.

  23. State child abuse and neglect reporting laws do not specify the age at which a child can be left home alone. No consistent community standards exist describing when and under what circumstances children can be left alone or in the care of other children.

You may want to contact your local police department or child protective services agency for information about specific local regulations or ordinances.

  24. 14 i fink

  25. When he turns 18. Before then he is classed as a child and it would be very risky to leave him alone.
