How old have your gerbils lived for?

Question

If you have gerbils, how old are they?

If you had gerbils in the past, how old did they live to?

Just wondering. I had one die when it was about a year old. Now i currently have a 2-year old one and two 1-year olds :)

Gerbils can live anywhere between 3-5 years but there have been cases where they live to be even older! Pet store gerbils do tend to end up with shorter life spans due to their genetics.

I currently house two females that have been with me now for three and a half years.  I adore my kiddos quite a bit and do hope to have them around for three and a half more (a girl can dream right?).

I have a female gerbil and she is about 1 and a half years old now but i had a baby gerbil that i bought from petsmart and she died at 6 weeks old  =...(    (i think) hope this helps! and sorry about your gerbil

they live to there 3-5 years on average but then they are none to live up to 7 or more years
