Matilda Rose Ledger was born October 28, 2005 so she is coming up on her third birthday.

I don't quite get the three actors donating their salaries to her though. Michelle, her mother, is a fine actress and should be able to more than adequately provide for Matilda. Her earnings just from Brokeback Mountain and residuals from Dawson's Creek (which has to be playing somewhere on cable right?) should get her through until Matilda is older so she can be a SAHM. After that, she should still be in demand as an actress.

So...I don't get it. I would think those actors could donate to a charity that helps actually needy children.

2 years old and three top actors are donating their entire salaries to her which is incredibly generous because between the 3 of them, that is several million dollars.
