What drew my attention was 'new born'

Convention measures age from birth, but research clearly shows many reactions & abilities in the womb

My mum & dad read the Bible to me in the womb & many folk play uplifting music that soothes the baby in the womb

I think the term 'new born' is most often used the 1st time family & friends see the baby at home, after hospital release

In the case of premature births - which all my 1st wife's babies were - their time in Intensive Care is an experience never forgotten & gives that term much poignancy

I'll never forget that my Laura Dawn easily fit from my elbow to my wrist - with room to spare both ends!

I sure pray that she's still alive, in some remote rural region of the world, as I haven't seen her for more than 6.5 yrs & her 21st is 10 Dec

I always consider a newborn to be from birth til about 2 or 3 months. Then I consider an infant from 2 or 3 months til a year or a year and a half. After that I consider it a toddler til about 3 or 4.
