How old is an adult hamster??

Question

My hamster is 7 months old, but how many months old do syrian hamsters have to be before they are considered an adult? Also, is it a good idea to get one of those plastic ball things so that they can run around in? Or do hamsters hate it? Thanks!

i depends on the hamster, most dwarf hamsters live 1 1/2 yrs. and regular hamsters live 2-3 yrs. hamsters love those plastic balls, they give them a lot of freedom. oh, and they hit puberty at 15-20 weeks.

That is adult- Syrians live to be about two, sometimes older, and Dwarfs to about a year and a half, so they hit puberty young, at about fifteen weeks, and are fully adult by twenty weeks (over four months).

No, hamsters don't hate it, it's a great idea for them.
