Well the answer above mine is right only that Mexico´s war from independance from Spain oficialy started in Sep 16 1810 but it really was recognize  independent in late september 1821 by Spain and the end  of the war.

But we celebrate the first date sep 16, 1810, and  there is big preparations for a big celebration in 2010, all over Mexico,

that makes Mexico a 197 years  9 months old country.

If you take it from the independence day then is from 1810.

If you take it from the fundation of aztec's capital (The name Mexico comes from them) is from 1325 A.C.
