How old is my son's conn clarinet?

<p>I just read on another website while searching for information on my own Conn Director that I played in the mid 70's that it would have been made after 1955, prior to 1955 they had a different name besides Director.  When I played it in Junior High band, the band teacher said it sounded better than the newer (possibly plastic) clarinets.
