  1. This question can't be answered as it is internally inconsistent; Adam wasn't the first man.

This is like asking "assuming bananas are square, what size are they?"

Leaving Adam out of it, Homo Sapiens has been around for 200,000 to 1.8 million years with most agreeing on about 500,000 years; part of the variation lies in deciding when a new species has emerged.

  2. 'Assuming Adam' means you should have put this question in the religion and spirituality section, not anthropology.

Anatomically modern humans date back about 160,000 to 200,000 years in Eastern Africa. It really depends on what you define 'man' as.

  3. When I read your reference to..."Adam" I was tempted to say..."last week I met a man who was about 32 yeasrs of age." He was 32 and..."present".

But, I think I know what you tried to ask so,

It looks to be about 160,000 years ago in north Africa.

They eventually made it to Europe and helped extinct old Neanderthal. Neander was wider, stronger, had a larger brain than Cro Magnon but he did not have the cerebral cortex we have and did not process information as well.

You can forget "Adam" if you are seriously trying to understand our history.

  4. Is that really important?considering a child to be a father of a man,a man's vintage doesn't mean much.Yes,for Christians Adam was the first person but not very smart(forbidden fruit and all that).Fix a figure and have a go on it.A couple of thousands of years wouldn't make much of a difference.
