I don't thing anyone is every too old to play with play dough, too young maybe, but with play dough you can spend hours creating things.... it is an artistic toy, which means for all ages.

I just played that today with my 2 yr. old grandaughter.  I had more fun then her.   I'm 56 yrs. old.

Never too old for Playdoh. I actually keep a can at work and one at home, I play with it when I need to relieve stress.
