  1. You should never prop a baby's bottle.  If they aren't capable of holding the bottle  then you need to hold it for them.

  2. The general rule for how many ozs of milk for a baby is half their weight in ounces--for example, a 10lb baby gets 5oz of milk every 3 hours, a 12lb baby gets 6oz every 3 hours.

As for the bottle propping, you shouldn't ever do this. If you are in the car and baby is hungry, pull over, take him/her out of the carseat and feed. Bottle propping is dangerous both physically and developmentally.

  3. You don't do it. It's VERY dangerous, what if you're driving down the highway and she starts choking, but you can't pull over?

  4. Don't prop the bottle just yet. She needs to be able to hold it herself.

You give her however many ounces she is hungry for. She will stop when she wants to stop eating just like adults.

  5. Your going to get alot of rude comments so just a little heads up.

Maybe you should look into this:

    or http://www.pacifeeder.com/

And I would feed your baby whatever she wants or needs.

  6. feed the baby when it's hungry

bottle propping is not recommended for safety reasons. if the baby can't hold it themselves, it needs done by an adult
