A huge black-and-white, half-timbered pub built for Davenports in 1929. There has been a lot of change on the ground floor but the baronial hall-style bar at the rear is impressive. Even more so are the upstairs function rooms which it is well worth asking to see. Bowling green at rear. Grade II listed.
