I am Fourteen and a half and my school is doing Les Mis for the school musical. I would like to know what parts i would be suited for. I am listening to the CD and The older Eponine or Young Cosette (I am fairly short for my age) sound like the only part parts I would be good for.

  1. Young Cosette is around 8 or 10 at the most and Epionine is around 16 or 17.  For Epionine you need to be an alto or mezzo with a strong belt.

  2. I'm sure I already answered one of your questions on Les Mis.  It's very difficult for anybody here to answer what parts you'd be right for as we have no idea what your singing voice is like, what you look like or what your acting ability is.  Depending on how young the youngest people at your school are, I would say that you're probably too old for Little Cosette - particularly if you think you'd be OK for Eponine - who is usually played as somewhere 18-20ish in a non-school production, probably a couple of years younger in the schools' version - I saw a 15 year old play her and nail it.  Seriously though, ask your drama or music teacher what they think you should audition for because you'll get a much better answer out of them.
