  1. If he can climb out of the crib it's time to move him to a bed.

  2. my niece when she was about 1 1/2 we got her a toddler bed that small enough that she can climb into and still has guard rails on the sides thats like $50 ( http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d... ) and shes almost 3 now and we love it because when she gets tierd she can put herself down for a nap or when shes ready to go to bed

  3. Anything from 18 months to 3 years. You'll be able to tell he's ready of he tries to climb out of his cot! Some babies aren't bothered and are happy to stay in the confines of a cot where as others are super eager to get in a big bed.

And happy birthday in 2 weeks to Ian!

  4. just around 2 years old, good luck with Ian!!!

  5. aww hes gonna be one =[

    hes growing upp.

    Id say in between 1-4

Some children may take a while.

  6. My son was 1, he transitioned great into a big boy bed. However, I probably wouldn't have changed him so soon if I didn't need the crib for his little sister. I also would have put him back in a crib if he wouldn't have done so well. I think the crib is for safety reasons (to keep him from rolling out or getting out) but I also think they become very dangerous when they can climb out. You could always leave his crib up, but try a toddler bed to see how he does.

  7. It is up to the individual child, if you are comfortable with transitioning him to a bed now do it.

I was lucky, my two told me they were ready for big boy beds when they were just shy of two and began climbing out or their cribs

  8. That depends on a lot of things.  Most parents feel it is safer to move their child to a toddler bed when the child can climb out of the crib.  Also, if you are expecting another baby and need to use the crib again, a couple of months before baby comes would be a good time.  All of my boys moved out of the crib by the time they were about 2 and once it was as early as 15-18 months or so.

  9. my son was a little over two and a half when we moved him to a todler bed only because he would crawl out of his crib and I was worried about him falling.

  10. When he/she doesnt fit in there anymore! lolzz

  11. I'd say unless your baby can climb out of the crib you should keep him in there till he's 2-3 years old.

  12. Generally . . . .when they show signs of wanting to WALK.

  13. 2 yrs old

  14. My daughter just turned 2 and is still in her crib.  She loves it there.  I've thought about converting it to the daybed, but I don't see any reason to fix it if it isn't broken.  When she starts showing me signs, of needing a change I'll put her in a toddler bed.  Until then- I don't see any reason to change anything.
