  1. if my mum was alive today she would be 44. she was killed in a car crash 4 years ago though, as was my dad.

  2. My mom is 42. No she doesn't need help. She drives very well. She eats fine. Her mine is a little scrambled right now. Trying to get ready for my baby. I'm 17 and pregnant and she is actually helping me out. We were always best friends. I love her very much and owe her everything!

  3. My mom is 56.  She is still healthy, works full time, and her mind is well.  i have an older sister, but my mom and I definitely have the closest bond.  I worry about her and what i will do when something happens to her.  For now we just enjoy all our time spent together!

  4. She will be 72 next month. She does still drive and her mind is still good, although I have noticed she has started repeating things more often lately. We get along great, although we live about 350 miles apart.

  5. My mom is 47. She's a-OK and does everything for herself. We get along wonderfully.

My grandma, who passed away earlier this month was 78. She still did everything herself, other than driving. She took care of her animals, her garden, the housework, and her mind was better than mine is at 25. And for the last 3 years of her life, she was doing it all even after being diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal cancer. She lived with her husband until he passed away in '05, alone until she herself passed away. If I can grow up to be half the woman she was, I'll be doing good.

  6. Well my mom is only 48 so she's still working hard, driving, eating normal.

We get along great, talk on the phone every other night. She lives about an hour away and comes to see her grandchildren every couple of weeks or so with my dad whose 50.

Sorry this probably wasn't very helpful as you asked the question in such a way that I suspect you were asking people with older parents lol

  7. My mum turn 74 in August, and Yes i think she needs help with alot of things, Spring cleaning and her grass needing cut,etc on big jobs! And she is honest with all of us when she isnt feeling very well!  She drives the same way she did when i was a kid<< always reminding me to put on my seatbelt! She makes sure she checks and double checks the great grandbabies!! She never forgets a birthday or anniversay and reminds us all the time who's birthday is when lol!!  We do have a big family and we do have are quarrels but we dont hate! She's the best cook i know and we all still call her for her recipies ! She eats very well and make daddy nutruious meals always with a veggie! She drinks alot of water and doesnt have to take to many meds! Thanks for asking tho, I have the best mum in the world!

    take care

  8. my mom is 76 and lives alone, widowed.  i am the youngest of 3 girls (1 lives 4 hrs. away).  i do her laundry, groceries, clean her house, yard work and take her to all doctor appointments etc.  she doesn't drive and doesn't eat properly when i'm not bringing leftovers for her.  we get along fine and i'm glad i am able to work only part-time in order to have a lot of time with her.  she forgets things like her meds and is not very stable on her feet.  i can't think of anything else i'd rather be doing at this stage in her life.
