  1. i live in nc i would think 4-5 years of age

  2. Please wait till your child is 5 before starting them in kindergarten....I started school at four and yes I was smart and able to do the work....but I was always an outsider...I always felt like I was trying to catch up to the other kids and even in high school being a year younger was still an issue.......I have talked to others in the same situation as I was and they also hated being the youngest and recommend waiting..

Let kids be kids until they have to grow up and attend school

  3. Is that pre-kindergarten? Where is SC?

  4. 4-5 is the age of entering kinder garden. I live in BC,Canada

  5. I am unsure of SC laws. However, I do have a recommendation. If the deadline for age 5 is September 1...that means the summer babies are going to be very young in the class. If your child was born in June, July, or August, you may consider keeping the child home one more year to grow and mature. That is very important if the child was a premature baby. Summer boys usually do better waiting a year, too. Waiting a year can make a huge difference, in educational progress, in future school years.

  6. Depending upon which kindergarten age level you are looking for--4 year or 5 year old.  Most public schools have the cut off date as September 1.  So, if your student is 5 by September 1, they may be in K5.
