Usually when monarchs arrange state dinners or banquets for visiting heads of state, you never really see children or teenage royals attending so i was wondering how old a royal must be to attend a state dinner? would it be 16 or 18?

  1. They must not only be "old" enough, but mature enough in behavior and etiquette to attend. Their ranking in precedence(importance in line of succession) also is held in consideration. An heir to the throne who is responsible, mature and well-mannered may be attending a State Banquet at 16,while an older sibling may still not be attending at age 18.

  2. I have a feeling they don't attend because they find them extremely boring regardless of their age.

  3. adult or near enough i would have thought.
