How old must u be to own your birth certificate? ?

i need to know how old you must be to claim ownership of your birth certificate and passport for that matter . someone please help this is a serious matter . thanks !

I've never heard of an age limit on "owning" your BC and passport. You own them already. Most parents keep them until you are responsible enough to take care of the documents.

18 is the leagle year but if u want to brake the law  any time is fine

18 is the legal age for most things.  You should be able to call the board of health and records for your birth certificate.  As for a passport, you need to be 18 because you have to sign for the document.

A birth certificate is yours at birth and you can get a passport at 14.
