How old must you be to be employed somewhere?

Im only 12 years old and need, more like want, some money. I animate and was wondering if I could make an advertisement for a local business, but then learned you have to be a certain age to be employed somewhere...

So my question is, how old do you have to be to be employed somewhere?

Also I have no idea what category this question should be in, forgive me if this is in the wrong place

It depends on the job.

When you're 14 you can get a job a Publix.

When you're 13 you can babysit.

When you're 12 you can referee.

There aren't too many other jobs that are offered towards the younger crowd.
