How old must you be to stay in a hotel?

Im wondering how old you must be to stay alone in a hotel without an adult, is it 16 or 18?

18 years old, both... only if you are brothers or similar one of you can be under 18....

i dont think it has to be both.  i stayed in one for 2 nights in firenze and they didnt give me a problem.  i had just turned 18 and they were fine.  i think as long as 1 person there is old enough its okay.  your best bet is to call up the hotel and ask them, or write them an email if you dont want to call half way across the world hah.  good luck
