  1. For public school kindergarten, normally your child has to be age 5 by Oct 15th or 30th for the county to allow enrollment.

Most states/county/school districts have a free or reduced rate pre-kindergarten for 4 and a half to 5 year olds; usually a half day program.  I enrolled my son in it, I think it helped get him ready for normal kindergarten.  They teach them how to act, and some letter and number skills.

Any age is good for day care, they learn socialization skills and get all the standard diseases which builds up their resistance.  It is good to have all that taken care of before they start "real" school.

  2. As youing as possible, but at least by 18 months.

Socializing with other children becomes extremely important at that age. Please, PLEASE don't wait until she's five and then send her off to kindergarten. She needs at least a year of pre-K/preschool so she can learn basic social skills, plus how to wait for adult attention, complete simple projects independently, etc.

Trust me. As a teacher, I know that there are few things more frustrating than the new kindergartener who has little to no experience dealing with her peers. They tend to either be painfully shy (and cry all day) or really demanding (of attention and getting their own way, which can lead to bad behavior). And then you have someone whose first year of school is a bad memory. Not the way to start their school career, IMHO.

  3. Part of this will depend on the child's maturity level.

Some kids are ready to start preschool/daycare at 2 or 3 others aren't ready til 5 or so.

  4. you should start her in day care/kindergarten at least when shes 5 years old

  5. It would usually depend on the place where u wanna put them.  If it's like the Day Nursery I work in we take them from 3 weeks old.

  6. day care really any age if you need day care really same thing as child care. kingdergarden 5 yrs old before sept 1st. depending on the state you live in.

  7. you can start children in daycare at 6 weeks of age up to 5yrs.. i work in a daycare centre and the children all start at different times. personally i think 6 weeks is too early.
