How old should a girl be 2 hav a boyfriend?

i am 13 years old and my dad says i cant date in till i am 18 years old! i hav a best friend and we both like each other and it is like he is my bf but my dad would kill me if i went out with anyone. how old would u let ur daughter date?

My mom had always told me that I couldn't have a boyfriend until I was in college. Of course, that never happened I had my first boyfriend when I was in 6th grade. But my mom had always said, "What's the point in having a boyfriend at such a young age? I mean it's not like you're going to have the same boyfriend until your old enough to get married." I think you never know. And I also think that you really can't make someone not be boyfriend/girlfriend. So I would have to say I wouldn't really set an age for my future daughter to be allowed to date. I would just like to know where she's going and with who. I really wouldn't want her sneaking around behind my back.

You can't help that you like him and he likes you. Just stay best friends. Boyfriends are like best friends anyways. Don't let your relationship move too fast physically because that's not healthy.

Besides the physical aspect there is no difference between best friend and boyfriend anyways so your dad really can't have a problem with it.

Nowadays, 21.  Sounds crazy, but today you youth have so many issues to deal with.  It's a jungle out there.  Seriously, get into your schoolwork and stay focused.  People are getting infected with HIV daily.  Don't be a statistic.  If you get infected all they can say is they are sorry.  Listen to your dad, he knows what's best for you. haha i had a boyfriend at 11, it was basically a in school relationship. we didn't do anything though, farthest was kissing on the cheek. but we rarely hugged. so yeah..        but i'd say 13 would be a good age. it depends on how mature they were

I had my first "boyfriend" when in preschool, and my dad thought that it was cute. But I had my first actual boyfriend when I was 12 years old, and at first my dad was a little skeptical, but soon enough he warmed up to him, and now we've been together for about five years and he loves him. ♥

13 seems like a perfectly fine time to have a bf. your dad won't want his baby girl to grow up to fast though, so keep it casual to start. Go on group dates like to the movies and bowling, you don't have to announce that you have a bf to your family. They'll see how close the two of you have gotten and that's when exeptions start happening..

i already decided if my kids feel like they want to date than im not gonna stop them I will try to keep them safe but i think holding them back is just gonna make them want to rebel I really dont see a reason for making them date at a certain age

My mom made me wait til i was sixteen to have a "real" boyfriend, but in some ways im kinda glad she did, im in a very serious relationship with someone {im almost 17} and am very happy, because i know the games boys play now, thats the best part about waiting til your older you can gain more knowledge... i think at thirteen you should just have friends that are guys so you can get up to speed with the male species, so give it sometime girl relationships are not all they are cracked up to be, they are hard as h**l but very much worth when you fall in love for the first time!

your dad is actually right. no one should date until theyve taken the role as woman. not just trying to be a woman, or being a teenager. an actual woman. & there is a lot more to it than people think. im not going to date ANYONE until im a woman. i am 15 now. i want the characteristics of a woman. same with guy. they are all just little boys until they decide to take on the responsibilities of manhood. & teenagers arent ready to take on the responsibility of another person in their lives. unless you are ready to take the role of wife & mother, dont date. it makes things a lot easier, & you wont have trust issues with your husband when you are ready. :]
