  1. i am kinda sick of parents being so overprotective. while you have a reason to be concerned, (they can hit 2000+ degrees) how many people do you know that have been burned by a sparkler?

It's not like you are leaving your kids with them, you'll be there to supervise (as i understand). The four year old should be able to handle it with some insstruction and close supervision, and the 2 year old will obviously need some help. Either hold it with them, or hold the kid and the sparkler (seperate hands/arms)

    Happy 4th

  2. I think theyre fine once you tell them not to touch the sparkle part, and theyre kept supervised.

  3. it depends on their matuarity, and how closely you supervise them. diffently no for the 2 yr old

  4. I think it depends on the kids. I have a couple of nephews who are 8-10 and I won't let my kids around them with sparklers. They just run like crazy. A 2 year old I think is to young, but a four year old really well watched should be okay. A two year old would probably be more afraid of it then have fun anyway.

  5. 4 years old is fine, just watch them!  as for the 2 year old, I think it's ok as long as you hold your hand over theirs, and don't let them have it on their own.

    Calm down a bit!

  6. Yeah, it would be hard for your kids, especially when other kids are doing it.  Your 4 year old should be ok, as long as you or someone is watching and your child does not walk around with it.  As for your 2 year old, you will have to hold it with him.  I know my 2 year old will have a tantrum if she couldn't do it herself, but safety comes first.

  7. you aren't wrong to be scared. your a mother it's normal. but i think the kids should at least be 3 years of age, unless they aren't able to control themselves. but it would be a great experience for them. just make sure to keep an eye on them. it is just sparklers.

  8. People do not realize that sparklers burn over a thousand degrees so just be smart and not let young children hold any fireworks at all.

  9. age 4 is fine, i learned at 3 that the stove is hot when its on, so when things seem hot dont touch em...

  10. between 4 and 5.  if they are taught to not touch a stove becoming of that age, then they will know that they do not touch the sparkling part.. however keeping close eye on them while holding it.. that one part is a no brainer though

  11. Sparklers are fine for young children to have as long as there is parental supervision.  I would say two is too young, but it is really up to the parents.

Don't let the media about the danger of sparklers scare you either...it is over done.

  12. I think that kids should be a least 5 to use them.

  13. It has a lot more to do with the particular kid than their age.  There are some kids I would not trust with a sparkler at any age...heck, even some adults.
