How old should my puppies be when I remove their dew nails?

The are chihuahuas and I heard its best to remove dew nails. So I was wondering when the best time to do it is! Thanks

Do not remove dew nails! It's just like someone removing your thumbs when you're a baby!

Puppies can have their dew claws removed between 3-5 days old. My one dog has hers, but the other one doesn't. It doesn't make much of a difference except we have a the extra nails to trim on her and he is easier to groom around that area.

My puppy had her nails cut when she went for her first injection......

Ask the vet they will advice when.

The vet should do it at just a few days old.
