  1. im 13 and a half and i started about 2 months ago. but t doesnt depend on ur age as much as how strong ur ankles, feet and legs r.

  2. it's not so much your age, but how strong your ankles are and how good your technique is.

  3. it all depends on when you start

but i believe you are suppose to have at least 4 years of regular ballet before moving onto pointe

  4. it depends on how strong you are and how much training you've had. but at least 11 or 12

  5. It really depends on your strength. The youngest person on pointe at my studio is 8. Oh and one of the girls was on pre pointe after only being in dance and ballet for a little less than a year. Trust me it is possible and my ballet teacher knows when they are strong enough. My teacher used to be a part of the San Francisco Ballet Company.

  6. Okay first of all it does depend on your age...

because you don't wan't to start en pointe until you are at the very least ten because you need to be somewhat developed. Although after the age there isn't really a limit

You should take at least 3 classes a week

You need to be ready for it. It isn't something that comes in a snap

so you will need to have strong legs, turnout, back connection, and ankles.

  7. You are usually around the age of 11-14.  It really depends on if your ankles, feet and technique are ready.  So if you think you're ready ask your ballet teacher and see.

  8. generally people start pointe when they are about 10, but it mostly depends on the strength of your ankles and feet. it is a good idea to wait until your feet are fully developed until you start pointe, however as long as you have the strength you can do it.

  9. usually people start around 10 to 14 but some sooner or later than that. its not age that matters. its technique, ankle strength and self discipline.

    technique,

technique matters because if a dancer is not strong enough to hold an arabesque then doing one en pointe will not be possible.

    ankle strength,

ankle strength matters because without it you wont be able to balance or go en pointe

    self discipline,

self discipline matters because if you think pointe hurts and always come down then you wont build strength so in flat classes make sure you have intedrity and hold painful positions so your teachers trust you.
