  1. You should be in your later teens (high school) as you should have all of your permanent teeth when you whiten. If you are young the whitening products can tend to cause a lot of sensitivity.If you have braces it will also not work well.

    First thing you need to do is have a thorough dental cleaning and see how they look after that since buildup (plaque, tartar and stain) will be removed at that time. Then if whitening is an option, use a mild treatment like Crest Whitestrips. Your baby teeth were probably much whiter and that is very normal.

  2. I don't think you should do this until you have all your adult teeth.  Anytime after that is reasonable, but before you do it ask yourself what you mother would say... "If you can't keep'em white - why spend the money?"

    Remember teeth whitening is not an easy procedure and should be a solution to a problem and not a quick fix to an issue.
