  1. I did say 15, my parents allowed me ...I had a good set of friends

  2. That all depends on your maturity level.  If you mean with a group or friends to the mall or a movie, I think 11-12.  Usually kids start doing this in grade 6.

  3. Depends on where you are going.  I was 5th or 6th grade when I could bike up to my friends house which was several blocks away.  I was 7th grade when I could be dropped off at the movies or the pool with my friends by ourselves.  However, this was 20 years ago.

  4. 6th grade is a little young  maybe parents can drop you  to the cinema and be there to pick you up but not the mall.

As for the age there is no magic age it is child centered.  i think kids develop at different rates

  5. 15

  6. It really depends on where you are going and who you are with. For shopping, some malls do not allow groups of 14 year olds to be by themselves ever. If they are caught, they are taken to security and are forced to call their parents. So, with a mall like that, a group of friends is fine, but there has to be an adult around. To the movies, well I would drive a 13 year old and his friends to see a movie and I would see them in to make sure they aren't trying to see something else that they shouldn't be seeing. But, I would make sure it is okay with my kids friends parents to make sure it is okay that they go in by themselves. (If a parent objects, I would supervise) I would be there to pick them up right outside the theater they are in before the movie ends.

I was allowed to go into the theater with a friend at 14 so I would be okay with it for my kids around that age. Shopping is fine as long as I know your friends around age 13-14. If I did not trust your friends, I would supervise those shopping trips.
