How old to get drivers permit?

as of 2008, if i was born in 1995, how old would i have to be to get my drivers permit? i heard you had to wait until u were 18, can anyone tell me?

it varies widely from state to state.  it can be anywhere from 14-17 years old with the license being from 15-18 years old before you can get it.  you could go to your states DMV website to find out.

It depends on where you are, but if you're asking about the persistent rumor that gets spread by those who already have a license that it just changed and YOU will have to wait until you're 18 to get yours, no, it isn't true.
