How old to you have to be to coach a basketball team?

i'm 15 and i want to coach a basketball team made of kids that are 5-7 years old, do i need a degree or something like that?

you're not too young to coach a kids team.

Old enough to get hired. If you want to make coaching a career for you go coach those 5-7 year olds, and if you just want to coach, coach. But if your going to coach these kids you may want to ask there parents about the idea.

I tried to a be a coach in the winter for young kids to. (I'm also 15).  The parents ended up not wanting that, so I settled for the assistant coach.  Depending on the league and the parents you may have to settle for being the assistant.
