Eight weeks, when the first teeth are in and the pup's stomach is strong enough to handle real food.

Mother's milk the first two months gives the pup necessary immunities that it needs to stay healthy.  If you feed a pup too soon it could be detrimental to the critter and give it bad diarrhea.

about 4 weeks old, but they should be kept with the litter until 8 weeks, for socialization skills

They may start to eat on their own around 4 to 6 weeks, but you should keep them with their mothers until 8 weeks because they still do rely on their mother's nourishment at that age.  Also, the mom can teach them about being a dog.
