The oldest documented person was Jeanne Calment of France who was born February 21, 1875 and died August 4, 1997.

The oldest recorded man was Shingechiyo Izumi of Japan who was thought to be 120 years old when he died in 1986. However his claim to this fame is disputed.

The oldest male whose claim is undisputed was Christian Mortensen, an American who emigrated from Denmark and was 115 years old at his death.

this answer prolly isn't as good of an answer as the other, but i heard of a farmer on who lived to be 188 and the weird thing is he ate pork, he drunk and smoked. i also read that people could live as long as 1000 years.
