  1. My daughter was 10 weeks old when she started part-time because I had severe postpartum depression and was unable to care for her and daycare provided a bit of a break.  I am now recovered and working part-time and she has continued to go, on a part-time basis, when I am at work or have medical appointments.  Some days she doesn't want to go, especially when we've had a few days in a row to spend full-time together but other than that, she likes it a lot.  She has learned a lot of social skills and we call it "school" so she's usually pretty excited to go.

Don't feel bad if you need to put your kid in daycare to go back to work or whatever.  I always feel bad for the parents that have to put their kids in full-time (I've only ever had to use it part-time) but I'd honestly say that it's harder on the parents than it is on the kids.

    Hope that's helpful :)

  2. My first a daughter was 6 months. She went parttime. She usually liked to go. My 2nd was about 4 years old and 3rd was 2 yrs old. My 2nd hated

to go. The 3rd didn't mind either way.

  3. 16 months.  It was difficult forthe first few days, but she's been fine since.  It has been a year now and she has been with three different daycares.

Daycare has been wonderful for my daughter.  I was shocked how quickly she learned from being around different kids and adults.

  4. Never, but I have worked in daycares for many many years in all ages, but most of my years in infant and toddler care. They say the earlier you get them in it is actually better for them to adjust and I have to agree. I don't like the idea of seeing those babies in there at 6 weeks old, but I did notice the older babies have a difficult time adjusting. They cry and cry and takes them a few weeks to get adjusted where the little infants come right in and adjust.

  5. I use a home daycare. I think it's easier. He was 6 months old. He is fine with it. she takes good care of him.

  6. never had daycare. i have a 25 month old son and a 3 month old son and they were always in grammas care. would never have it any other way and less stress about daycare  people shaking children.

  7. My oldest son was five months old when he started daycare. He did great, it was me that was a wreck. I've been very lucky and always had great daycare providers for my son. My daughter won't be going to daycare because I decided to start my own daycare instead of returning to work after her birth. It's a lot of work but well worth it being able to stay home with my two kids.
