Right now I am feeding every 40 to 60 minutes for anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour at a time. I can't get anything done or go anywhere because I'm afraid he'll get hungry before we get back and then I'll be stuck sitting in the car or in a bathroom stall for an hour. How old was your child when you started trying to make a routine? I don't think he is actually hungry most of the time. I think he just wants the comfort.

  1. How old is your baby...my baby is 9 weeks and I feed her every hour to two hours and for maybe 15-25 minutes. If you are feeding that often it does not need to be for an hour each feeding..they may just be comfort sucking...using your nipple as a pacifier.

Edit: I would try a pacifier now to be honest...I did not try to give my daughter one until 6 weeks..and she will not take one..I wish she would because she wants to feed more often and gets fussy..if she would just take a pacifier I would not have to nurse as often and mybe having something to suck on would help with her being fussy.
