  1. I stopped using the  swing when she was about 7 months and she became more mobile.

  2. About five months.  Emma started disliking being penned up.

  3. i dont remember exactly i know she had gained enough weight for it to slow way down.lol i think maybe some time after 6 months we used it a lot from 1 month until about 4. my newest little bundle of joy is 2 months and doesnt much care for it.

  4. Alyssa used hers till 4 months. She has used it a few times since because I stick her in it, but she doesn't like it. Now at 8 months, if I stick her in it she just gets mad and tries to escape.

I guess its not very exciting. The swing at the park is way more fun and shes used to it.

  5. The age and weight restrictions usually coincide with the baby's ability to start trying to get out of the swing!  My 7 month old isn't too heavy yet but she's so much more interested in trying to get down to the floor (luckily she's strapped in) that it messes with the swinging action and slows it down.

This is another reason why buying stuff like this (swings, exersaucers, walkers, etc.) used from craigslist and garage sales is so smart!  Most of the items are outgrown by physicality or interest long before they're "old"!

  6. Use it until they either don't fit in it or they try to climb out of it.  That's normally somewhere around 12-18 months.

  7. My friend stopped using theirs at around 5 months. My baby still loves the swing and she is almost 6 months. It all depends on the weight restrictions on your swing. Most only go up to 25 lbs.

  8. 3 months, he didnt like the 170 dollar sweetpeace I bought him, but the daycare said that he's fine in the one at her house which is like ancient!! hmph! see what happens when I try to make him happy lol

  9. instead of age ask weight.. I used mine till they were to big. Swings are a mothers best friend lol. Use it as long as possible

  10. My son wanted nothing to do with after about 4 months. I think he thought I was tricking him to sleep, because everytime he was in it he fell asleep. But all babies are different.

  11. my son was probably 7-8 months because he was (and still is) big for his age and even on full power the swing wouldn't move very much.  OOO i remember too was that he learned how to stop the swing by sticking his foot out and hitting it on the poll.  that was another reason.

  12. 6 months my son is able to raise himself out of it to literally flip face down even while strapped in, so it's now under the bed until we have another baby. BTW he had one of the small travel swings that set close to the floor not the big bulky ones.

  13. We had the cradle swing and then he got to big, then my inlaws bought us another swing by graco, the hugin loves swing that holds up to 30-35 lbs and we're still using it and he's 7.5 months and 23 lbs...

  14. I don't recall exactly, but it was when she got too heavy for it.

  15. A soon as she was to big for it. :)

  16. My daughter is 8 months old and still uses it in the morning for about 45 min until she fully wakes up.
