How old was your little one when they sat up on their own with no help?

Thanks guys! My son is almost 4 months and he has been doing very well at sitting up while assisted a little bit, he's so silly he tries to pull himself up when he's laying down and sometimes it works, but other times he just topples over.

my son is almost 8 months and while he can sit unassisted it still scares me because if he sees a toy that he wants he just lunges at it with no hesitation. So I still stand close by so he doesn't get hurt. He started sitting up at about 6 months.

My little girl is 5 months and she sits unassisted. She doesn't know how to sit up from laying down yet, though.

My son is 6 months old and has been able to sit up for almost a month now. Every now and again he does topple, so I keep a pillow behind him, and toys not too far away so that he doesn't lunge so much...he enjoys it. =)

My first sat unsupported at age 6 months. My second daughter did it on the day of her 4 month birthday. My 3rd daughter did it at 6 months....

I got a 7 week old daughter now who hasn't sat yet. But she can hold her head up and coo at me.

my four month old sits assisted but im think maybe when hes six month he will start sitting unassisted. hes getting really good at it

My daughter was about 6.5 months when she sat up on her own.  However if you put her in sitting position she sat on her own at about 4.5 months old.

My daughter was a few days shy of her 6 month bday when she sat unassisted the first time.  My son is almost 6 months old and he has been sitting unassisted for about 2 months now.  He just recently learned to crawl and he is now learning how to get from the sitting position onto his hands and knees without falling over.

My son is six months and ALMOST there but he still has to have hands in front of him and me on guard.
