I tried to post this question on the marriage and divorce section but all i got was older women that had already been married 2 or 3 times and seemed to be very bitter! So what i want to know is how old you were when you got married and if you could would you go back in time to redo it, why or why not. I get people telling me that i shouldnt get married so young because i should live my life first. But i am 19 and will be 20 when i get married and i have a 15 month old daughter with my fiance who i will be with for 4 years when i marry him and we live together. I dont see how much is gonna change if i get married to him.

i am way too young to get married. i think ill wait another 5ish years.

i broke it off thinking why do i need this now? btw i have no kids...

you on the other hand have children with you fiance. so its a different story for you.

ppl with no kids dont do it for a while.. :)

  2. I would say 25 is the best time to get married.

  3. DO YOU LOVE HIM DO YOU WANT HTE WEDDING THERES YOUR ANSWER, IM GETTING MARRIED NEXT SUMMER I BE 28 AND I THINK IT BE THE BEST MOMENT EVER

  4. I met my fiance when I was 18, he had just turned 20.  We dated for over 3 and a half years before he proposed (he did it the day I moved in with him/the day I finished university). I was 22 and he was 23 (he turned 24 a few weeks later).

We're getting married in November 2009.  A week and a day before my 24th birthday.  He will be 25. (We're like a year and a bit apart in age).

  5. I'm 27 and we are planning to get married next April and I will be 28 then. He's will be 26 1/2 =) But we've been together 4 years and are expecting our first child together in Jan!! And I would do it over and over again with him. I've known from the beginning that he was the one that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. And he definitely feels the same way.

  6. are you in love with him? thats all that matters. I'm 21 and my boyfriend in 23. We've only been together 7 months but I know I'll marry him within the next year. He's my best friend and makes life so much happier:) When you know you know. There's no question

  7. I was 19 (nearly 20) when I got married, and it has lasted 25 years very happily.

My son was 21 when he got married (his wife was 20) they have had a good happy first year of marriage, both still in college.

My daughter will get married in a few months, and she and her fiance are both 24.

I think you should get married if you have a child together already, what are you waiting for?

  8. I'm 43, still single, and very straight!

  9. I am 28 now, and I will be 29 when I get married next year.  (Actually, I'll be nearly 30, technically...) and my fiance will have just turned 28 by our wedding day.

Normally I would say 20 is a bit young to settle down, but since you're already a mommy, I think you can handle the responsibilities and day-to-day situations you find yourself in when you're married.  You and your fiance have probably already had a lot of ups and downs, and hopefully you have learned by now how to fight fair and communicate effectively, which is what a good marriage is all about.  Plus, you already live together as a little family, so being married shouldn't change your life much.  Just remember to continue to love and respect each other after you get married, because so many people's attitudes toward their spouse change when they feel like "well, I've got him now, no need to try anymore."  Don't get in that mindset.

  10. I will be getting married to my fiance next year in October. I will be 21, he will be 24. We will of been together for almost 5 years. I don't think you are too young to get married. If you and your fiance have been together for almost 4 years, you seem like you two will be ready. Some 30 year olds (which seems to be "the age" to get married these days) have only been with a guy for a couple months before getting married. Don't listen to others. If you think you are ready, then go for it!

    Best of luck!

  11. I am 21 now, wedding is booked for 3 years time so I will be 24 and my fiance will have just turned 24 - 10 days before the wedding :)

  12. I got  married at 19 and I'm still married. I'm  now 36. well you are living together already what are you waiting for.

  13. I was 28 when I got married - first marriage, no shacking up, no kids.

I would totally get married again - but only to him! It's been amazing. We had a son two years after we got married, and everything is wonderful.

Your circumstances are different - because you have a child already it's about time you provided her with the security and stability of married parents.

I hope you see the change a true commitment makes - it's wonderful.

  14. I was 25. We've been married for 32 years and are quite happy.

I'd be divorced if I'd married the guys I thought I loved before I met him.

  15. I got married at 45 and I wouldn't do anything different.  I lived how I wanted to while I was single.  I did all the buck wild stuff that I needed to get out of my system before I got married.  And at 45, I think I  finally had the common sense to identify  what a good marriage partner looked like.

  16. I too am 19 nearly 20.  However I want to wait until 25-29sh to get married.  I am too busy finishing my B.A (halfway there!) and then will pursue graduate and post graduate work.  So I will wait until much of that is completed before settling down.  Have fun at your wedding. :)

  17. I was 24 when I got married, about a month and half shy of my 25th birthday. My (then) fiance and I had been together for 6 years when we got married and we lived together for all of that except for the year prior to our engagement when we only saw each other on weekends due to his job moving him. That year changed our relationship and led us to the path we're on now. I don't think he would've proposed when he did if it hadn't been for that year apart. I wouldn't change any of it.

  18. We got married almost three months ago - I was 25, he was 31 (and had his 32nd birthday on our honeymoon). Not too much time has passed but I can't see ever regretting it.

  19. My first marriage I was 19 when we got married and was married 11 years.  I have two beautiful children from that marriage and yes we both changed.  When we hit about 25 our personalities really changed and 30 we were two different people.

I will be 34 when I get re-married and I am absolutely thrilled about it.  Look at it this way.  Are you different now vs when you were 16?  I am sure the answer is yes.  People change but it is not always bad as long as you continue to grow together.

    Good luck!

  20. I just got married four weeks ago... I'm 21, he's 18.

But if I had to do it again, I would've waited many many years. 18 years old is too young for a guy. They're still in the video game playing, mommy pick up my laundry, wash my dishes, stage.

    Yeah.

  21. I will probably be 28-35. This is because the job I want takes a lot of college.

  22. i think age doesn't really matter.

    it's all about love.

if you guys have it just go ahead and do it.

i have friends that got married at 17 and are very happy. one of them  has been married for 5 years.

    believe in love.

  23. I will be 27, and with my boyfriend for almost 9 years at that point.

We met when we were 18 and waited to get married because we were so young and had school to do. To be honest I wouldn't have been ready to be married when I was 19 or 20. That's ME though, I also wouldn't have been ready to be a mother and you've been doing that for 15 months now. If you feel that this is the one for you, then go for it. Oh, and from what I've heard, if you do live together already, nothing really changes.

  24. Excuse me, I happen to be an old hag and got married at 19 and 35.

My first ex husband is still rolling around in my trunk.

I wasnt bitter until I read your statement.

  25. The first time 24, the second time 35, the third time 40, the fourth time 46, the fifth time 52 and I have a fiancee now. The first time she was to young she was 19 but I truly loved her and yes if I could do it over I would marry her again but not the ones to follow. except the one I am fixing to marry.

  26. I am getting married next year- I will be 31.  My mother-n-law got married at 19 (he was 22) and they were married for 40 yrs.  My mom and dad got married at 20 & 21 and divorced after 17 yrs.  So it could go either way.  If you are happy and want to marry your boyfriend.  Go for it.  Just remember marriages take work and are hard and things aren't always sunshine and rainbows.  Live life and enjoy it and try to work out all your problems.

  27. I was 18 when I met the woman I fell in love with, and we were engaged from memory about a year later.

17 years were to pass before we married, and we started divorce proceedings less than two years after that.

If I could go back in time, I would have buried her under the patio, but unfortunately I can't.

I wish I'd never married, or indeed met the damned woman.

    Not that I'm bitter.

  28. I will be 27, almost 28. My fiance will have just turned 27.

  29. I just got married this year...I am 30 and he is 27...

  30. I'll be 25 when I get married next year. We have a 5 month old son together. Been together for 3 and a half years

  31. I will be 26, my fiance will be 25 but will turn 26 19 days after our wedding ( =

If you don't think anything will change than don't get married.
