how old were you when you learned how to drive?? got your License? do you drive??

I learned to drive and got my license when I was 15 years old.

I learned to drive in our family's 1952 Plymouth that had a standard shift, but took my license in my cousin's car because it was automatic.  He was a driving instructor and taught me well.  I'm still driving at 61. At age 28, I totaled my 1967 Plymouth Valiant Signet into an ambulance speeding thru a red light.  I could have been dead right but I'm alive wrong thanks to my excellent driving instructor.

I first drove a car at 14 (illegally). I started taking classes at 16 and got licenced at 17.

I am learning to drive now at age 54.  Wish I'd done it when I was younger.  Story of my life I always do everthing the hard way.

I starting to learn to drive when i was 13 and i got my license when i turned 16 and i continue to drive everyday now at my age of 52 years old.I also was a professional truck driver for 10 years.

I learned how to drive when I was  around 12 years old. I lived in NJ so I got a permit at 16, a provisional license at 17, and my regular license at 18. Jersey is just crazy like that. LOL. Not to mention its one of the states that has the highest insurance rates. And yes I do drive. Now what exactly was the reason for this question? Just for conversation?

I learned to drive young because my dad would always let me sit in his lap and steer. :) I got my permit when I was 15 (I took driver's ed in high school) but I didn't have a vehicle to drive until a few years later. For that reason I didn't get my license until I was 18. I drive every day to my classes and to work. I really enjoy driving. :)

I learned how to drive when I was 9 years old.  That was the first time I actually got behind the wheel by myself (no sitting in the lap).  The really first time I got behind the wheel was around 5 years old.  But I was only operating the steering wheel, and my father was operating the pedals.

I got my License at 16, and I still drive today and I'm currently 20 years old.

Ok, cute story. There was this kid that was extremely slow in my drivers training class. He could not get into second gear without help. Needless to say, it was a blast but frightening. He would be going down a hill and almost go over the edge. Our instructor was so great that he kept the boy on for three weeks. My driving was almost as bad. I couldn't go over 40, drove an old clunker for my license test and failed, the second attempt, at the age of 16, I earned my license. My driving bettered and traveled all over the U.S alone.

I learned to drive at 14 in a stock car on a speedway. (not during a race) received my license at 15 it was a hardship license and It was only legal between 7an and 7pm until I was 18. If I only waited 1 yr I could of had a regular license. and yes I drive and I also have a CDL on my license.
