How old were you when you finally felt like an adult?

For all the ladies: How old were you when you finally felt like a real woman? And why?

For all the guys: How old were you when you finally felt like a real man? Also why? Be honest.

And for people who feel like they're not adults yet: What would make you feel like you have became a "grown up"?

When I held my first child.

I realized that we could no longer live on love.

We were responsible for a wee, tiny beautiful baby, who through no fault of her own was snuggled in my arms and how I loved her more than life, it self.

Sometimes I am still in doubt...about what is meant by "real". Duties and responsibilities began at 12.
