I was raised in a very rural area in the 50's and 60's. I learned to drive at eight years old.I dove my Grandfathers car by myself, no passngers or supervision and never had one accident.I am not reccomending this to anyone.When I was 16 there was no driver education. On my sixteenth birthday I got my driver's liscense as well as my motocycle liscense.My first bike was a Triumph Bonneville at 16, got my first Harley at 20.I'd been driving for 8 years before I could get my liscense.I had no problems learning with the car or the bike.I,m from southern Ohio.

I am in the UK.

I passed whenI was 17, I found it easy becasue we used to drive tractors and stuff around at home on the farm, so I had the advantage when it came to clutch control etc. I took about 10 lessons to get to grips with roads and other traffic, which must have been good as I have been driving for 25 years a never had a ticket or a prang.

I finally got my licence when I was 23. My learning experience is a bit odd. I did about a month of driving lessons when I was 17 and living overseas but gave up cause i was having trouble with the language (i don't recommend learning to drive in another language).

I did not go for driving lessons again till I was 23 and then I did about 2 months of lessons before I passed in the UK. I think it helped that I already knew the basics when I started learning to drive again.

i was 21

i did not enjoy learning , i started when i was 19 and had a huge gap after going on holiday, i just did not wana getback in the car but after a year decided to get it over and done with. glad i did it now cos i dont know what i would do withot a car cos i s yorks it costs about 3 times as much t get a bus as it does for me to drive!
