  1. was just wondering the samething! My son is 15 months old and takes naps on my bed and loves snuggling with a pillow. He doesn't sleep through the night and I was thinking maybe a pillow would help.  Every child develops differently so you can't really put an age on things. Example, my son's been in a toddler bed since his first birthday because he started walking at 10 months and was climbing over the crib rails. My friend's baby just turned one and isn't walking yet so he's content in his crib.

    This is what BabyZone.com said:

Though they're often sold with crib bedding sets, pillows are not recommended for children under 2. Kids that small can easily suffocate while using one.

If you want to introduce a pillow, it's best to wait until your toddler moves from a crib to a bed. But if you want to give him one while he's still sleeping in a crib, go with one that's small (the size of an airline pillow) and firm. Stay away from feather pillows, which are too soft, can set off allergies, and can smother a child if his head sinks into it while he's sleeping.

Go with your instincts. Parent's know best! :)

    Good Luck & God Bless!

  2. I would say it is probably fine but stick to the folded towel, no big fluffy things.  Not only there would be a risk of accidental suffocation but a likehood of a sore neck in the morning.

  3. I think he should be ok. Keep a baby monitor on just in case i think my 24 month havent had a pillow yet but i think it will be ok.

  4. As soon as my kids got into a bed (daughter 2, and son was a year and a half) they had pillows :) If you have a flattish pillow, use that to begin with :)

  5. about that age. i gave mine a flatter pillow. rather than a high puffed up one.

  6. SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) and asphyxiation are your biggest enemies here. If he is old and big enough not to be choked by the pillow ( in size or material) then he is fine. If there is any indication that the pillow might cover his mouth to the point of suffocation, find a smaller or more breathable one, or simply wait until he becomes bigger.

  7. Yes, My daughter has a pillow on her bed and she is two. So I would say that its fine for him to have a pillow especially if he likes it.
