  1. These days, people who have HIV can take medication that can help them live longer, healthier than they would have been able to in the past. Treatment can increase the amount of time between diagnosis of HIV and diagnosis of full-blown AIDS (when the immune system is so severely damaged that any other infection could be fatal).  

    The length of time a person lives with HIV or AIDS depends on many factors, including the person's health prior to infection, the person's response to the virus, and the person's response to the treatment (and whether or not the person takes meds as prescribed, etc.).

    The meds do have a lot of side effects.  


  2. I think what you're trying to say is how old would someone die if they have AIDS. If that's what you're saying.. it entirely depends. AIDs used to be a death notice, but it's not anymore. Actually with all the new drugs and everything a person can live pretty much a full lifespan with AIDS now. You just have to be very careful because if you contract some sort of illness that your body can't fight off because of AIDS then that's what will kill you.
