How old you have to be to ask for a money order?

I want to know if I can get a money order at my age, I'm 14 years old. Will they sell it to me at a postal office or no? I need to know by today and I need a honest answer..Thank you.

  1. Yes, the post office will sell you a postal money order.  The money order fee will depend on the value of the money order, but about $1.25 to $2.00.  

    One more thing, you must pay with cash or a debit card; they will not accept a credit card.


  2. They take your cash and hand you an "order".  No age limit. You must be 18 to enter into a contract but this is not a contract. Otherwse, any bank will give you a cashiers check for $3 and ask no questions. /
