  1. fake abs...

  2. I dont think its true. I work and attend the university and I still surf alot. There are ways to balance it out.

  3. Whatever you say Craig J

  4. must have a trust fund

the surfers i know that don't work end up bumming stuff from you

  5. WTF are you talking about!

Surfing is for the soul.  There is nothing wild about it.

"Work is for people who are not lazy"

Try not to find excuses not to be contributing part of society.

    KOOK!!!!!!!!!!

  6. no no no no no

    it isn't

work is for people who are not dumbcraps

    surfers are not stupid

  7. Craig J - sorry bro, but you're a kook.

    Embrace it.

    Peace.

  8. Well how do you feel about this:

Surfing is for people who don't work.

    =P

    not really

  9. Sounds fake as c**p to me.  The days of slacker hippie surfers are gone.  It takes money to do it, especially if you plan to travel.  I know plenty of people with profession careers who surf, myself included.

  10. That was my motto for 7 or 8years.

When I did work I got into it and did a good job. I was fortunate to met up and get on well with a guy who had a landscaping business who would allocate me a job to be finished by a certain time. So when the surf was pumping I was there.

In New Zealand theres heaps of seafood so when the dollars got low I was guaranteed a feed anyway.

Then kids came along so it was into the grind and surfing part-time. Definitely the "good old days", but bringing up kids is a buzz anyway.

I'm 52 now, the kids have have left home with a good education, and I am semi-retired (work 2-4 days a week) . Kayaking is my /our new passion.

All the people that used to rubbish me saying I would regret it when I got older are full of the proverbial.

If you want to go for it ...do it ... but keep in mind a couple of things

    No-one likes a bludger

You're not going to be able to live like that forever. So sus out what you WANT to do when the time comes so you can apply the same zest to your job as you do to your surfing instead of going to work just to pick up your pay-packet at the end of the week.

As for the "wild man " bit ..... chill up a bit.
