How on earth do you manage to put on liquid eyeliner?

Question

I'm not a big fan of makeup. It adds to my beauty, but doesn't take anything away from my natural beauty, which is why I barely ever wear make up. Usually if I do, it's either eyeliner or eyeshadows. I'm used to using the pencil eyeliners, but recently I've seen alot of other people using the liquid liners and say that it's way easier.

I can not do it!

I tried outlining my eye just how you do with the pencil and it spread all on the inside of my eyeball =[

It's so messy when I try and do it, and I honestly can't see how anyone else manages to put it on correctly and have it look so fantastic when they do. Any tips? Is it worth it? I like the results of the pencil eyeliner, but I'd love to figure out how to use liquid as well.

It sounds to me like you've tried putting it right above the bottom lashes, is that right? I'd suggest putting it beneath your bottom lashes. Just put on a line until it's even and then get a cotton swab wet and wipe off some until you like the way it looks.

If you can use pencil  for starters try a cheap felt tip liquid eyeliner

you need a very steady eyeliner. line with pencil first, then go over it with the liquid

liquid needs accuracy and very controlling hands if u can do it ok. any way every thing comes with practice even with make-up

use a regular liner then u outline with liquid but one u get good u will be able to do liquid perfect lol u have to have a steady hand :)

i don't really like the liquid eyeliner because it messes up alot on me id go for the pencil.

I am 52 and I uses the liquid in hte 70's and I always like the look of pencil so much better, but having said that, I could put the liquid on pretty easily, it just takes practice but it is a lot like the pencil.  Hold the eye lid taught and try to stay right above the eye. If you smudge it you can wipe down and it will sort of stay in that area. But moslty it just takes a little practice.  Good luck.

that happens allot with cheap eyeliner.

buy a good one not for like 99 cents but like3 or 4 dollars.make sure its dry before you blink

try a pencil with felt tip it works really well

look online some show exactly how. personally it like pencils more.

I wear it every single day. Sometimes on top, sometimes on bottom. Or sometimes both xDD. It takes a little practice.. I have waterproof liquid eyeliner, and when I put it on the bottom, it doesn't smear as bad as pencil. It gets in my eyes too.. but you just have to wash it out, or it will irritate your eye, and when that happens.. you sometimes can't wear make up for a week :O If you want it thick, you have to press down hard. If you want it thin, lightly trace your eye. And! That's all the tips I have.. I'm sorry. Hopefully, that helped :]
