What stores or businesses are there that will let you simply drop off your old and broken television set to have it recycled? I don't want any stupid web site referance that tells me to go to California or Michigan to recycle a TV, or another site that will tell me that I am doing the right thing, I know that already, and no online auction sites like ebay because it is a broken TV. I am just wanting to know what store or place (Like best buy or something like that) is there to take a broken TV to to have it recycled... is it really to much to ask?

  1. GIVE GOODWILL A CALL.THEY WILL COME PICK IT UP.

  2. I agree with TV Tech Man.

Put it outside and watch it disappear.

Strangers don't know it is broken and simply assume you have just bought a new LCD or Plasma

I have done it at least 5 times and not 1 as lasted more than 3 days.

  3. Definitely someone near you will have recycling plant. Go through the telephone directory or any help line. They will guide you. 'Hats off' for being a eco care taker.

  4. Yes, it is too much to ask because no one wants a broken TV. Not Best Buy, or Circuit City, not even Wal-Mart!

Get a phonebook and call your local dump and recycling centers. If one of them won't take it they will be able to tell you who will.

  5. NOBODY takes broken TV sets off your hands for FREE...

Call your local trash company, they'll direct you to the proper site....

But the Smart thing to do is set it outside a couple days before trash day and watch it Magically Disappear....

    Those TV Gnomes are fantastic....
