How or where do I activate the alarm on my Cadillac Deville 1997?

I have the original remote for the alarm, but It does nothing....

I checked the batt. of the remote..

and changed them but still nada....

If you installed a new battery its really easy.Point the remote toward the center of the dash.Push and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the remote.This will take up to 15 seconds.When the doors lock and unlock release the buttons.Its that easy.This is called remote resynchronizing and is necessary after all battery changes.Best of luck.If for some reason this does not work I will post a link for you to program your remotes.Best of luck.  http://programyourremote.com/
