  1. Here's what you can do:

    1. First buy a pirated XP SP 2

    2. Google "ingen xp"

    3. Download that file

    4. Select XP 2

    5. Run the program!

I swear that's what I did and my pc is fine.

It's a program that does all the things for you. Let me explain that:

There is a way to bypass the genuine thing that Microsoft validates. It takes some tinkering with your registry. Some students in the US are taught this stuff.

Now my pc is with genuine XP. As proof, my media player is version 11 and I have updates.

Note: Some downloads do have viruses. My tip is just to continue with the program and then run your antivirus once more.

If you need more help. PM me.

  2. You can buy a site license from Microsoft. Otherwise it's one copy per computer.

  3. I think you need to contact them about obtaining licenses for more than one computer: http://support.microsoft.com/common/inte...

  4. Would like to know myself.

  5. Volume Lisence Copy of Windows XP.  This is the how part.  Vl or Volume lisence is a non retail version.  It still has a key to do the install but you can put the same version on   a large number of sthe same machines fro one company.

Now for the easy part.  Where to get it.

VL are sold to companies  that buy many liesense at the same time.  10, 200, 1000, or 20,000 .  Get the picture.

A Microsoft Partner can sell you a single copy in they are so inclined.  But The $300.00 or so that this involves is really not worth their time.

Years ago when a Company wide rollout was happening all th erollout techs would have a copy.  This is what they used to install on machine that were being upgraded. Get on A Large company roll out upgrade to Windows XP as a tech.

You have answered your own question.  Yes Microsoft will say that you have to buy many copies to install on many computers.

  6. In a situation where you need more then one copy of an os, instead of purchasing a bunch of single, just purchase a license for the number of computers that you have.
