  1. you really would have to eat ALOT  of carrots.

i juice 2lbs of carrots a day and that's not enough.

i wouldn't go for the world record now but...   do be careful.

this again proves veggies and fruits are very powerful stuff.

this mostly happens if your kidneys and liver have issues.      but do not try to make yourself orange or green.       spinach has a rule to this factor also with too much iron consumption.

  2. I don't know.. but my babysitter when i was younger would always drink carrot JUICE and her lips were kinda orange it wasnt like ugly though.. just interestinggg

  3. If you eat tons of carrots you wont turn orange but your poo will....gross

  4. you'd have to eat a h**l of a lot of carrots to turn barely orange.

    its a myth anyways :)

  5. It is not a myth.

In fact, there is a medical term for this condition called carotenemia. However, this is more likely to happen to an infant or young child rather than an adult.  Also, it probably affects different people differently.  I don't think most people would turn orange unless they ate a ton of carrots, but when we were in high school, one of my friends went on a carrot diet and she had a weird orange glow about her after a few days.  It looked kinda like she got a really bad spray tan or something.  Weird.

"Carotenemia is a clinical condition characterized by yellow pigmentation of the skin and increased beta-carotene levels in the blood. In most cases, the condition follows prolonged and excessive consumption of carotene-rich foods, such as carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes. However, carotenemia has been associated with more serious conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, anorexia nervosa, liver disease, kidney disease, and hypothyroidism. Carotene was first isolated in the yellow pigment of carrots."

  6. It's a myth, you have never seen an orange rabbit have you?

  7. as orange as an oompa loompa??? lol.

  8. It's a myth.  I eat a tremendous amount of carrots (usually over a pound per day), and my skin is the same pinkish beige it has always been.

  9. In order for that to happen, you need to eat a c**p load of carrots or drink a c**p load of carrot juice. And even if you decide to try and get this to happen by eating carrots and drinking carrot juice all day long, your skin will only have a barely noticeable orange glow to it.

  10. You have to eat TONS and TONS of carrots to turn orange...at least thats what someone told me...and they said your skin would just have an orange tone to it...no bright orange skin...lol
